Hispanic/Latino Incubator
The Northwest Texas Conference provides the Incubator Model to the
pastors of our Conference. The Hispanic/Latino Ministry Committee
adopted the model “Hispanic/Latino Incubator” and adapted it to the
Hispanic/Latino reality in our Conference. The goal of the
Hispanic/Latino Incubator is to create an environment in which spiritual
leaders and ideas are born, nurtured, and developed.
One of the guiding of the Hispanic/Latino Incubator is that effective
leaders. Leaders who create vital congregations learn how to
discover, develop, and deploy passionate spiritual leaders. This
same principle applies in the growth of Hispanic/Latino Incubators
themselves. Once a group of leaders experiences a Hispanic/Latino
Incubator they are then to start another Hispanic/Latino Incubator.
Multi-cultural Incubator
Following the Incubator Model and having the Aldersgate UMC in Lubbock
as a partner church, a new multi-cultural congregation or church has
begun to take shape for the city of Lubbock. We believe this model will
be able to be used in a community with a varied ethnic makeup and a
community which is growing in size.
The multi-cultural Incubator has as its purpose to raise up strong
leaders in the Lord who are willing to see the presence of God moving to
create a new congregation in the city of Lubbock for the Glory of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
In
an Incubator participants make a commitment to meet a total eight hours
a month for twelve months. In the process, the Incubator participants
develop a Ministry Action Plan (MAP) for their congregations.
